Allure is a brand of PowerHouse Photo based out of Rapid City, SD. Schedule a fun, relaxed, laid back session in our huge studio on the West side of Rapid City. Our fully stocked studio has all the amenities and more. Multiple backdrops, sets and props. We even have enough room to shoot large items up to and including motorcycles. In house hair and make-up is available on site for your convenience and an additional charge.

Weekday studio sessions are $100 for 2 hours

Weekend and After-hours sessions are $125 for 1.5 hours

Weekday Mini sessions are $99 for 20 minutes with 5 digital files

Investment and Products

Looking for something other than studio work? Contact us for a destination session at a location that is your own. Whether it be a hotel suite, garage, barn, office, or even the open air of outside. Have a session that is more than just an outfit. Bring a full idea to reality with you and your beauty in the middle of it. Travel is negotiable and available for photo shoots in South Dakota, Wyoming, North Dakota, Nebraska and Montana. We get to Sioux Falls, SD regularly as well.

What to bring is often the most asked question. Boudoir is about you and the special person you intent to share it with. This being said, bring anything with you that will make your session your own. This may be a special shirt of yours/his. Lingerie that flatters your body type and figure. Or just something as basic and alluring as the classic bed sheet. Have parts of your body you don’t feel comfortable with? Professional lighting and posing will help to show off what you love and minimize what you are less confident about. You can bring as much as you like (Seriously), we usually recommend bringing 3-4 outfits. It is always better to not shoot something then run out of things to shoot. Of course even with this people like ideas and help in choosing. Here is a list to get the creative thinking going. And remember, accessories!

Tips for your session & FAQ

1. Hair and Make-up. We of course recommend you have your hair and make-up done. If you would like, you can for your convenience schedule it at the studio with your stylist being we have our own area with salon chair. This will be an hour before your scheduled time at the Studio. Please let us know if this is your plan.
Pro tip – if you are having someone do your make-up, make sure you atleast have them use your foundation and mascara being your skin is used to it and no one wants a breakout.
We do recommend for you to bring your make-up as well to the studio in case you would like to touch something up.
2. The day of your shoot/before. Wear something loose, like sweat pants and a baggy shirt. Yes those pants with the rhinestones look great, but so will the pressure marks on your skin after you sit in them on the way to the studio. This also goes with anything else tight fitting like a bra.
3. Make sure to remove all tags from your garments and accessories before coming. These can be seen especially on items that are lacy or sheer. Even items that are not they can tend to be uncooperative and slow down a session and it takes time to remove them at the studio.
4. Just like accessories, details are important. Nicely painted or manicured nails can really take your images to the next level. Especially when it comes to close ups. This goes for feet as well, ladies you love your shoes so make them pop with nice painted nails.
5. Friends / Spouses / Significant Others: People are always great to have along. Main thing is they need to be fun and encouraging. Anyone that is not will be asked to leave. And remember, if doing these for a gift, having the person present can take the fun out of the final gift.
6. The Studio. If a person would like to see the studio before booking that is always allowed. Here are some highlights for those that don’t feel the need. We have a very spacious shoot space that allows for many scenes to be set up side by side. This allows for more shoot time for you and less setup. We also have a very spacious changing room / bathroom on site. Even with the space it is private. We also have off street parking in our own parking lot.
7. Props on site. Yes, we have many props. We have benches, chairs, couches, mirrors and many backdrops. Yes we have a real bed frame and sheets on site. We supply white sheets. If you would like something different you are welcome to bring, and so you are aware, our bed size is a queen.
